- Twiggy is the lighter, 'weathered' colour with freckles. Twiggy faces the river.
- Beaky faces the city and talks a lot (very 'beaky'), and so is always dropping twigs.
- Twiggy is good at finding new twigs in the river to give to Beaky (who loses them a lot!).

Twiggy and Beaky are very clever and very witty and love to joke. They like to hear uplifting and caring stories and they particularly love children and visitors.
They watch over and care about Liverpool and Merseyside, but they also care about everybody. They can speak every language so they can understand whoever in the world talks to them.
They do not like to stand up too much because they like to be held in your hands, especially while you tell a caring story. And if someone is going to tell a caring story, then Twiggy & Beaky like to be picked up.
But remember to cover their ears if someone is shouting or is angry because they are quite sensitive!
